Updates:
After trying all the Benjamin Moore blue paint, we ended up painting all of our living areas Benjamin Moore Glass Slipper. Our full kitchen renovation reveal shows how it looks on our walls. We’re obsessed. It’s the calmest, coolest color ever.
We painted our guest bathrooms Benjamin Moore Whispering Spring. It’s pretty close to Glass Slipper, so you could do either one. Our full guest bathroom renovation reveal shows how everything came together.
Benjamin Moore Blue
Yesterday, we got to take possession of our house!! True to form, I had SEVEN PAINT SAMPLES READY TO GO (with brushes and a paint can opener) so we could start testing paint colors. (I was supposed to have eight. Apparently Ocean Air got lost somewhere in my scribbled list.) Fortunately, Erin told me this was totally normal. I’m pretty sure my husband was wondering why I bought five (seven) cans of the same color-ish.
You know what’s crazy? The walls in our bedroom are currently light green (not mustard. or puke. or whatever this color photographs as). I am more convinced than ever that I need to try ALL OF THE PAINT EVERYWHERE.
You know what else is crazy?! How different paint chips vs. computer colors vs. paint on the wall are. I will be trying ALL OF THE PAINT EVERYWHERE.
I noticed immediately that we need a fan in the bedroom. And non-orange lights. And, it’s so crazy how different everything looks when a house is empty and it’s all yours to figure out.
So, which of these blues is your favorite? My sweet Hubs has signed off on any of them. I’ve got two favorites, but I want to see what the survey says because I might be a little off since I’m dealing with the light green/mustard/puke wall color.
Many thanks to the amazing team at Texas Paint and Wallpaper for getting these samples so quickly and for not making me feel TOO crazy for requesting so many samples. I have a feeling we’re going to become good, good friends.
All of these are Benjamin Moore Aura Eggshell paint… in case you are like me and wonder what everyone else puts on their walls.

now you really need to pack and paint! Control of the house! HORRAY!
The ladies at our local paint store know me by name now! How embarrassing! This is a tough one.. but I think I’m leaning towards Polar Ice or Glacier Blue. Good luck!!
Ahhhhh! SO.OVERWHELMING! You’re reminding me once again to be so grateful that our house had just been gutted and renovated (with colors we liked…phew!) when we bought it. Otherwise, it’s highly possible my husband (fiance at the time) may have committed me to a mental institution…and there may not have been a wedding. Haha! Since you’re taking votes…I’m going to go with Glacier Blue. It’s soft and neutral, but it seems to give off the most color of all the samples.
Love the last group! Very cool-toned Blues (my favorite)
I have frazee paint (it’s AMAZING), but used color chips from lowes. My favorite was silver screen, it’s a silvery pale cool-toned blue. I put it in my kitchen and bedroom. Two favorite rooms in the house! Lol!!! (Okay and I loved the name. So old Hollywood!!) your last swatch reminds me of it.
I didn’t swatch my walls, I picked the colours, the accent colour, and told my painter (who was slightly puzzled at first!!) which walls got which colour. It was risky, bold, and OMG, it came out fantastic. So many people have asked over the years who I hired to pick paint colours! Go with your gut and don’t second guess yourself!!!
Good luck!
