First and foremost, any post that includes affiliate links will include a disclosure notice. Chances are, that’s how you ended up on this page!
As an avid blog reader myself, I don’t mind sponsored posts. I don’t mind affiliate links. I believe people put a lot of work into researching how they spend their money. If you find me a great dress, a new hotel or a fabulous cooking class, I want you to be rewarded for your work.
What I do mind is a lack of authenticity. Not only does the FTC require disclosure, but it also allows me to put your experience into perspective. Like most people, I don’t use a single source to gather information. I feel like I can tell when something is sponsored or doesn’t fit a blogger’s niche. Even if I’m wrong, a perceived lack of honesty is what causes me to stop reading.
As such, I’ve thought long and hard about the type of blogger I want to be. In my “real” life, I strive to be authentic in everything I do.
Why would I change that on my blog?
Travel and Tour Disclosure
Unless noted, we pay for our own travel. Many of my travel posts contain affiliate links for the hotels and tours we book. I only post about things that we have personal experience with and think others will enjoy as well. I may receive a small commission if you book any of these experiences in the future, but it will never come at any additional cost to you.

All opinions are 100% my own and are not influenced by affiliate links or affiliate programs.
