Our Minted Holiday Cards for 2015
I know, I know – everyone’s blog reader is blowing up with everyone talking about Christmas cards… and I’m going to have to join the sheep on this one. The truth is, the last week has been HARD. Straight up, 100% hard. I’m not exaggerating when I say that on last Thursday and Friday, the silence in my life was deafening. It was like I was in a fog. The world seemed far less bright and I couldn’t seem to hear anything but the overwhelming quiet as I begin to adjust to the new “normal” of our life.

But then, I went into the office yesterday morning for a few things… and I saw a small box sitting on my chair. It was our Minted holiday cards… that I had ordered on Friday, November 13, 2015 and approved shortly after my dad passed away. I had truly forgotten they were coming. But there they were, reminding me to be joyful… reminding me that little things, like getting mail, can brighten someone’s day.
Usually, I wait until right before Christmas to post our cards, but this year, I think we could all use a little more joy in our life, so Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year from us to you. (I’m sure I’ll remind you again.)

Back when I used to have a normal 8-5 job, I used to design my own cards and print them through Kodak Gallery. I loved the option to order envelopes that weren’t just white, and the cards were pretty good quality… then my dear friend Erin (more on her later) got me on Minted. I fell in love with Minted holiday cards because they offered the best of both worlds – the ability to customize beautiful pre-made designs and keep quality paper. Recently, they started offering free envelope addressing (I know I talk about this all.the.time. but hello serious time saver!), and I don’t know how I can ever leave them now. Our Christmas card list is well over 100 people every year, and it keeps getting longer. For the past three years, I have opted for the foil-pressed cards because I love the sparkle and shine, but I’ve yet to see a design I didn’t love. I also like that they have so many options that you can send to everyone on your list. While I don’t believe anyone on my list would really be offended by a Christmas card versus a holiday card (and pooh on them if they are), Minted has so many designs that work for everyone on my list.
I loveeee! They look so good! I really need to get going on these, like tonight. Thanks for the reminder!!
Your cards are beautiful! We used Minted this year too and I’m so excited to send them out next week!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
These cards are gorgeous! I usually use Shutterfly or Snapfish for our holiday cards, but I think this year I’ll definitely be using Minted 🙂
