Summer Wish List 2018

You know what gets me thinking about a summer wish list?  Spending a week in Boston where it wasn’t 100+ degrees with humidity.  It’s been that hot in Dallas since early May; the idea of shopping makes me feel absolutely disgusting.  Walking along the Charles River with a breeze ruffling my skirt made me long for cooler days and being outside for longer than three minutes.  As it stands, most days I just stare into my closet and try to figure out if I can get by with athletic shorts and a baggy t-shirt.  (This is also due to ongoing hip and back pain that they haven’t been able to diagnose.  If you have suggestions, I’m all ears.)

Summer Wish List

I’ve put together a little summer wish list to ease my frustration of being stuck inside.  If I only had access to Kate Middleton’s clothing budget, designers and tailors…  Side note:  I’m so disappointed in Meghan Markle’s post-wedding style.  I mean, I wasn’t a big fan of her style pre-wedding, but I was hoping to see some style inspiration from her.  To all of you professional girl boss types who wear real clothes every day and constantly look like you have your life together, I salute you and want to be you.  I’m definitely not you.

Looking back at my previous wish lists (here and here), I notice two things.  One, my style is not evolving.  Two, some of these dresses are in my closet now.  If you need me, I will be stalking the sales for the next few months.  I feel like some of these could be great additions to my wardrobe for our 5th anniversary trip!
