Christmas Table Setting Ideas

A few weeks ago, my mom loaded me up with all the holiday china. Truthfully, it was really exciting because it means we are finally settled enough to host Christmas in our own home!  I’ve been pining about this forever.  Typically, we split holidays between our families and do a little joint celebration, which is fine – but there’s no place like home, right?!  I’ve spent more time playing with Christmas table setting ideas than actually planning the holiday.  I can’t help it. I have an obsession with Kate Spade table linens. Coming up with new holiday table setting ideas is what I do with my spare time these days.

Last year, I found these red Kate Spade napkins at Home Goods.  I was OBSESSED.  I bought the white ones too, but they don’t look good with the cream dishes.  Last week, I found the last four I needed at Marshall’s, which was a total win in my book.  I was thinking I would have to pay full price for them on eBay.   Does anyone else remember when you could find good deals on eBay???  Sad.

Typically, I buy matchy-match things because I can’t always imagine how things will fit together.  However, I loved how the holly, the gold, and deep red linens came together.  That being said, when I put the gold and cream linens on the table, I loved that, too.  What’s not to love about a little holiday shimmer though?!  Isn’t it amazing how you can change the look of a table with a small piece of material?  (I warned you.  I’m obsessed.)

If you’re willing to search, I’ve seen the red and cream napkins, placemats, table runners, and tablecloths show up at TJMaxx, Marshall’s, and Home Goods.  Green is harder to find.  I haven’t seen the gold and cream stripe at all this year, but it was everywhere last year.

I found the snowflake stemware at Home Goods last year, and occasionally they are on RueLaLa.  I’ve snagged the green and blue ones too, but I am still hoping to find the red and gold to round out this table!  My mom is on the hunt for some gold flatware, too.  So far everything we’ve tried is too yellow.

  1. Beautiful…and so festive! I remember being so excited to show off my Christmas tablescape just two short years ago…but now I’d have to set up a fence around the entire dining room table to ensure my “little helper” didn’t destroy it! Haha.

  2. Those Waterford glasses are TO DIE for. Love them! Isn’t it fun finding amazing things at TJ Maxx/Homegoods?!? I love shopping there because I know I will always come away with something great. My hubby doesn’t. Because he know I will always come away with something great. Lol! Thanks for linking up today!
