Dallas Arts District Engagement Session

Sunday night, we had our Dallas Arts District engagement session. (This was after my mom pointed out my ears, my flat hair, and all the details that she didn’t like from our first engagement session.)  Admittedly, I was underwhelmed by how bad my hair looked in the Dallas humidity.  I really struggled with whether or not we should retake the photos, but in the end, Tom won out and called our photographer and asked him to reshoot our engagement pictures.  (We paid for his time and the imposition.)

I headed to NorthPark for some new shoes.  (Kate Middleton style!)  I found some headbands to help hide my ears!  After showering, pulling absolutely everything I own out of my closet and trying everything I own on, Tom and I chose the best Kate Spade dresses that I had.  I curled my hair, did my own make-up, and headed to the Dallas Arts District.  We explored the AT&T Performing Arts Center, the DMA, the Nasher, and the Belo Mansion.

This afternoon, Ashley emailed me and said they were done. I’m straight up 100% obsessed with how these came out.  I was so excited that we drove out to Ashley to pick up the flash drive.

Love these.

Everyone says these are 100% so much more us.  And, they’re perfect.  I LOVE them.

TL, DR: It’s okay to reshoot your engagement photos if you don’t love them.
