Ritz Carlton Dallas Bridal Portraits!
I have been sitting on my Ritz Carlton Dallas bridal portraits for a little over a month. Now that I am officially married (!!!!), I can share some of them! I had originally planned to take my bridal portraits outside, but the 100+ degree heat wave wore me (and my hair) out during our first engagement session. We ended up rescheduling to our reception venue, the Ritz Carlton Dallas, at the last minute!
Luckily, our on-site coordinator, Elizabeth, was able to get my bridal portraits set up without any issues. Everyone was so helpful. While it seems like bridal portraits are a very “southern” thing and a lot of people don’t do them before the wedding anymore, my mom insisted on them. I’m glad she did because my photographer didn’t take any individual shots on my wedding day (nor did we end up with portraits of Tom and I together beyond our first-look at a distance photos).
This dry run is what helped us realize that my dress needed a final round of alternations in the weeks leading up to my wedding. I had lost quite a bit of weight that we hadn’t noticed until we saw how my dress looked in photos.
My bridal portraits made great gifts for my great-grandmother and grandmother so I’m glad I did them!
Special thanks to Lindsay Hartley (make-up artist extraordinaire) & Liz Vela (my beautiful hair)
Swoon!! Now that you can show Tom did he just die over these?!
I did bridal portraits too. It may be Southern, but there’s nothing wrong with that. I love how floofy your skirt was! Whoever arranged it on the couch is a champion dress-arranger.
My mom did a great job! We ended up having to switch petticoats after these, but there was definitely a hoop under there for these! 🙂
I’m glad we did them, because we were so busy that we definitely didn’t have time to do more on the day of… which kind of makes me sad, but I’m sure the pictures will be beautiful either way! I’m dying to see more. 🙂
Oh. My. Goodness.
Those are beautiful!!!!
You look so gorgeous…. and REGAL.
Mm.
Thanks Aunt Nancy… I definitely felt like a princess! 🙂
